Executive Director Search Down to Final Candidates

February 17, 2004 - Greater Ottawa County United Way & Volunteer Center Board of Directors and Executive Search Committee are going through the final interview process for their search for an Executive Director of the countywide organization. The Executive Search Committee is interviewing two final candidates this Friday, February 6, 2004.

“We have narrowed the candidate pool down from 52 to 2.” Says Bob Rander, Board President for Greater Ottawa County United Way & Volunteer Center. “Both candidates are native of the Midwest and have extensive United Way leadership experience.”

The search process began in September, screening began in November and the interviews began in December. The Executive Search Committee is comprised of United Way & Volunteer Center board members and community leaders. United Way & Volunteer Center’s Executive Search Committee interviewed approximately 8 candidates out of the 52 applicants. Officials are hoping to have the new Executive Director in place by April 1, 2004.

2008 DAY OF CARING September 18, 2008
More than 600 community members from area businesses, schools, churches and service organizations will perform service projects at approximately 70 sites throughout Ottawa County, coordinated by Greater Ottawa County United Way’s Volunteer Center. This is a way for individuals and organizations to give back to our community and extend a helping hand to our neighbors in need—in short, to LIVE UNITED.
